WBro Michael Whitt (Charity Steward of Harrington Lodge No: 5098) and the then WM WBro Philip Meynell visited Rainbows Hospice in Loughborough to present them with a cheque for £1000 – £500 from Harrington Lodge, which was generously matched by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Derbyshire.
Rainbows Hospice care for more than 280 families every year, helping them to have fun and enjoy life through specialist multi-sensor facilities and accommodation, hydrotherapy pool and music room to name a few.
Sadly, some children simply don’t live long enough. Since 1994 they have opened their doors and hearts to those children and the people who love them most. And now more than ever, they need your help to keep on bringing care and happiness to our children and families. As the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people, Rainbows is a place where life-limited children and their families can find care and support. An incredible team of people who help to relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, support parents and siblings through their bereavements and care for children until the end.
